Julie Jones, M.A. CCC-SLP graduated from the State University of New York at Geneseo with a Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Sciences and Disorders and a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology.  She holds a certificate of clinical competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and a California State License in speech-language pathology (SLPAB). She started her career at the Veterans Administration in West Los Angeles primarily working in the areas of voice disorders, swallowing (dysphagia), head and neck cancer, and neurorehabilitation of speech and language related to brain injury, stroke, and degenerative diseases.  Concurrently, Julie worked at the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center in neurorehabilitation and outpatient pediatrics. Since then, she has worked in various clinical settings, including schools and pediatric private practices, providing services in the areas of language delays and disorders, pediatric voice disorders, speech sound disorders including apraxia of speech, social communication/pragmatics, and stuttering and cluttering.  She particularly loves working with children in their homes as it allows for individualized therapy and working closely with caregivers.  Julie is committed to lifelong learning ensuring that she is abreast of the most recent evidence base in the field.  Several times she has earned the Award for Continuing Education (ACE) from ASHA for far exceeding the number of continuing education hours required.  

Julie is a mother to two young children and a large fur-baby.  When not working she enjoys traveling, skiing, and being active.
